Differences such as automatic vs. manual transmission or Euro 4 vs. Euro 5 may be built into the software.<\/p>\n Different engine options within the same model use different ECUs. Check the engine size and engine code.<\/p>\n There should be no impact damage on the housing, no corrosion or bent connector pins, and no signs of water or of the unit having been opened.<\/p>\n On most vehicles, the engine ECU works paired with the immobilizer. After replacement, coding, cloning or pairing may be needed.
